Fall Extravaganza set

The Ballet Women's Committee will present its Fall Extravaganza - complete with silent auction, gift shop, bakery and luncheon fashion show - on Oct. 22.  Leading the committee are Sherry Bohorfoush, Liz Guest and Janet Robertshaw.

A silent auction, along with The Bakery and The Shoppe, will all open at 10 a.m. at Vestavia Country Club.  Among auction items are a French abstract painting and a ceramic bowl from a California potter.

The Bakery will be stocked with homemade sweets and casseroles.  Mary Jo Angelo, Kathy Thomason and Carol Walden are on the Bakery committee.  Guests will find gifts, holiday decorations and handmade items at The Shoppe that is being put together by Susan Baker, Desiree Maples and Ruby Cade.

Other members helping with the Extravaganza are Melinda Helveston, Vicki Kirkpatrick, Katherine Manush, Stacey Kingren, Nina Daniels, Wendy Henry, Laura Escue, Debbie Mashburn, Julie Freeland, Ashley Moss, Paula Windle and Buffie Whitt.

The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m.  Fashions by Serendipity are being coordinated by Samantha Culpepper.  Joy Deupree and Scarlotte Deupree Kilgore will emcee fashions from Lulie's on Cahaba in Mountain Brook Village.

Dancers from Alabama Ballet will show the costumes for February's "Don Quixote."  In connection with Extravaganza, a pair of earrings from Sperry Snow and Barton-Clay will be raffled.
